Rogue One certainly ticked all of the boxes when it was released late last month. The very first stand-alone Star Wars movie was the biggest film of the year in the UK, taking over £50 million in just over two weeks. In the final hours of the year, the movie overtook the likes of Finding Dory and Captain America: Civil War to bag the top spot, which is very well deserved.

With the film now out of the way, thoughts are turning to the next one, a stand-alone Han Solo film, which was set to be released in May 2018. Well, according to web sources, the film may now been put back an entire seven months to December 2018.

No real reasons have been given, but we’re guessing that the December release window is working well for Disney and Lucasfilm, who make the Star Wars movies, and hey, why change something that’s doing so well for them.

The film is being directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord, the guys responsible for The LEGO Movie and the 21 Jump Street films, so we’re expecting something rather special (and quite witty).

More news as we get it.
