Yesterday, Marvel Studios dropped the very first trailer for their second big release of 2017, the third movie in the Thor series, Thor Ragnarok. This film will be in UK cinemas from the end of October, and will once again feature Aussie Chris Hemsworth as the title character, but this time the likes of Jeff Goldblum, Cate Blanchett and Tessa Thompson have come along to join in the fun. You can see the new Thor Ragnarok trailer below.
This new trailer shows off a bit of action from the upcoming film, including a look at Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, who looks like her’s going up against Thor in a gladiatorial match somewhere in the movie.
Here’s the official plot:
In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk! “Thor: Ragnarok” thunders into UK Cinemas this October.
Tom Hiddleston will return as Loki, as Idris Elba as Heimdall and Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin. There’s also a role for the brilliant Karl Urban, Sam Neill is also said to have a part and we have hard that Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Doctor Strange may also make an appearance. Look out for Thor Ragnarok in cinemas from October. Its release follows this month’s highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Is it just us, but does this film have a similar vibe to the GOTG movies?
